About Pepp and BlueBranch GmbH
Pepp is a family app for chores, allowance and screen time. Parents create chores as quests, kids complete them and earn money or screen time – no bank account, no card, no ads. Pepp is developed and operated by BlueBranch GmbH in Fürth, Germany.
Who is behind Pepp
BlueBranch GmbH is a software company based in Fürth, Bavaria, registered with the Fürth district court under HRB 20180. Its managing director is Lukas Beck. Pepp is built entirely in Germany; servers are located in the EU, the app is GDPR-compliant and is funded solely by the family subscription – not by advertising or selling data.
What we believe
- Allowance is unconditional. Basic household duties are unpaid; extras can be rewarded. That is the line we take in the app and in the guide.
- No real money flows through the app. The pot is a counter. Parents handle the payout – cash, a savings account or a wish.
- Kids don’t need their own card to learn about money. They need amounts they understand and a goal worth waiting for.
How our guides are made
The articles in the guide for parents are written by Florian Kelm, who leads marketing and growth at Pepp. Figures and recommendations are checked against the primary sources linked in each article – legal texts, professional bodies, youth services and studies. The guides are not legal or medical advice. Spotted a mistake? Write to hello@bluebranch.de.
